Rice Cereal

We decided that it was time to start Hudson on rice cereal now that he is 16 weeks old. We were fully prepared for this to be a process in which took Hudson a couple of weeks to figure out. Boy were we wrong!! We should have known that this would be NO problem for Hudson since he loves milk so much.

We fed him in his entertainer and he gobbled it down

He didn't even make that much of a mess (surprise)

Overall, Hudson seemed very satisfied with the rice cereal. We hope that it stays this way in the future and hope to soon introduce some vegs and fruits. It is amazing that it is already time for all of this. Time sure does fly by fast with Hudson around. Hudson does roll over now for everyone except his mom. His Nana and dad have seen him do this many times, but his mother on the otherhand seems to always miss it. Hopefully I will get to see it soon. Hudson definitely talks a lot more these days and now holds objects in his hands, but has not yet mastered moving the object from one hand to the other. Hudson wants so bad to sit up and when he holds your fingers will pull himself up, but still cannot sit up on his own. This is sure to come soon though. We are having a ball watching Hudson grow and change and hope everyone else is too.

3 Months Old!!!!!!!!!!!

Where has the time gone???? It is so hard to believe that 3 months have already gone by since Hudson came into our lives. I went back to work the last week in June, and have found it hard to find the time to do anything these days (especially blog!) We have been so blessed to have my mom watch Hudson while Jeremy and I are at work. They both seem to be having so much fun.
Hudson is talking up a storm these days and is trying very hard to roll over. He hasn't mastered it yet, but it very close. He loves the Johnny-jump-up that his Aunt Esther let us borrow. He seems to spend a good majority of his days playing in the jump-up or taking walks with Nana. He is a great napper and is sleeping through the night!!!!! We are super excited about that. We put him down around 8 and he doesn't wake up until about 6 am. I am loving the sleep. Here are a few pictures of what Hudson has been up to these days......He is growing like a weed!!!

We are having so much fun watching Hudson grow and change. Everyday we feel so blessed that God has brought him into our lives. He is truly our little angel and wonder what we ever did without him. These last 3 months have been so amazing and we can't wait for all that is to come. We hope that all is well with everyone and are looking forward to visiting with family in the coming weeks. Hudson can't wait to meet his aunts, uncles, and cousins very soon!

Hudson and his thumb

Hudson has been trying for weeks now to figure out how to get his thumb in his mouth. He holds his hands in fists with his thumb inside and gets VERY frustrated when he cannot figure how to get his thumb out. We can hear him on the monitor when he is in his crib trying to get his thumb, and eventually he will start to cry because he wants to get it in his mouth so bad. Yesterday Hudson and I went over to my moms and he seemed to figure it out while he was napping with his Nana. Lets hope that he remembers how he got it into his mouth the next time that he wants it.

Hudson also has had no problem taking a bottle from Jeremy or Nana. We are really glad about that seeing that I am going back to work on Monday and that Nana will be watching him. The first bottle that we tried was Dr. Brown's and Hudson was fine with it, so our pantry is now full of these bottles.

Happy Father's Day

We wanted to wish all the father's out there a Happy Father's Day. Most of all we wanted to let Jeremy know what an amazing father we think he is, and has been since the moment that Hudson was born. We can't wait to celebrate many more Father's Day with you and thank you for being the person you are. We love you and hope you have a great Father's Day.

On Thursday we were so excited to get a chance to spend some time with my really good friend from highschool. Jill and her husband Ryan came over with their son Will to join us for dinner and to catch up on all that has been going on. Will was born almost a month before Hudson (March 11, 2008) so it was great to get the chance to introduce the two of them. It was great to swap stories with Jill about motherhood and all that it has entailed.

Jeremy's sister Sarah has been in town this past week, so Hudson was able to meet his Aunt Sarah and cousin Catherine for the first time. The cousins seemed to get along great and we can't wait for Hudson to be able to meet Snyder baby #2 in September.

We also had Hudson's 2 month check up this past week. Everything looked great, and our little one seems to be growing by leaps and bounds these days. He now weighs 14.2 lbs and is measuring 25 inches long. He is in the 95th percentile in height and weight. No more little boy! He also got his 2 month shots which was not fun at all. I know that everyone will be glad to know that I did NOT pass out and was able to stay in the room the entire time.

Wild Hill

The last couple of weeks, we have spent a lot of our time at my Aunt Joan and Uncle Gary's river house because we have had family in town. I think we need to move there because Hudson seems to nap so well whenever we are there. We had many great times with our family and enjoyed introducing Hudson to everyone.

It was so great to get to see everyone these past couple of weeks. There is nothing better than family and we can't wait to see everyone again.

6 weeks old!!!! (almost)

I never thought that it would take me weeks to find the time to sit down and blog, but life with a newborn takes on a whole new meaning. There are days when it is hard to get much of anything done, much less sit down at the computer and recap on the weeks past.

It is amazing that it has been six weeks since Hudson came into our lives. Time has definitely flown by.
For Mother's Day weekend, we went on our first road trip with Hudson. We decided to get away and visit Nana and Papa Bull in St. Simons. Hudson did great and slept the entire way there and back. We had a great weekend and spent time relaxing and enjoying our family.

Hudson enjoyed catching a nap by the pool!

Hudson also enjoyed taking a dip in the pool

Here is Hudson ready to go out to lunch and do a little sightseeing

Overall, our first road trip and Mother's Day was great and we hope that everyone else had a wonderful day as well.

In these past couple of weeks Hudson has started smiling and it truly makes our hearts melt. The key now is to try to capture it with the camera. Here is our best attempt so far.

Hudson also loves to fall asleep in the middle of feeding. This time we had to laugh at the position in which he feel asleep.

Our goal is to get a little better at posting pictures so that our family and friends can enjoy watching Hudson grow and change as much as we do.
